S&C Winner With Some Vintage Love

Without further a due, I present to you my first and perhaps last giveaway winner! Heh heh. I mean, that has never really been my thing here – but I thought I’d give it a whirl, because well, I had these tickets for the most excellent Steven & Chris Show.

Oh right, the winner….drum-roll please (#nerd). Is Rosary Spence! Rosary, I will be contacting you today to let you know how you can get your tickets. Chi Miigwetch (Thank-you) for partaking in my humble giveaway and reading my blog!

I’ll be honest…I don’t really have the knack for how to do a successful giveaway, but this beautiful momma does! So I am grateful to those of you who participated. Now for some thrifted finds I’d like to share with you. Thrifting is as amazing as you could ever imagine, and if you’ve got some snobbery going on for buying second-hand. Don’t hate. It’s like treasure hunting, only better – because one can find mint condition vintage shoes, clothes and home decor items. These are some recent finds that I adore and stopped nothing short of jumping for glee upon finding them.

Set of 4 Ceramic Canisters. Mint. Folkie White Daisies & Wheat. Pristine Speckled Glaze. Made in Canada by Fossil Craft. I’ve looked everywhere on-line for the origins of this company or maker, to no avail. If you know if, or find such origins – please let me know!!!

There’s something about rummaging through piles of ‘one man/woman’s junk’, to find something that you behold spectacular. Especially if you are starting to know your stuff, like true vintage china, stone and glass-ware. Or designer vintage clothing in mint condition. There’s nothing like it. It satisfies the inner-most part of me. Why? Who knows, but it’s not like I am spending a fortune, and I am pretty sure there are others out there with me. In fact, I’m confident that we are of a cult all our own. Us vintage, thrifting, second-hand lovers.

Vintage Samsonite Leather Suitcase Trio. MINT in condition and colour. OH.EHm. Gee. Utterly FABULOUS. 1/2 off the ticket price no less. Yep, I only paid 20 bucks for these bad-boys.

As for this delicious tea-set. Pure bliss. In case you have’nt noticed I have a major heart-on for owls. The really fantastic thing about this set is that it came to me from 3 different goodwills across Ontario! Only 1 is stamped on the bottom as being made in Taiwan. Who knows if these little pretties were once high in circulation. Me no care. Me love. My beautiful songbird found the tea-pot for me and picked it up because she knows I love owls. Little did she notice, that I already had the sugar-bowl! Amaze, right? We then found the milker and tea-cup with lid, together at another goodwill a couple of months later. F.A.T.E.

Thrift on loverlies. Thrift on.
