Where we embrace the glory and humour in the chaos. Un-staged and imperfectly beautiful.’

Good things always beging with a great beer. I saved this juicy beauty all week in the fridge to savour come 5pm on Friday night…

mommies like beer too

And then I put on these.

Super-heroine shoes.

And hung out with them…

sexy men

Hot Dads

Right after running around with these ones of course…

kids playing outside

Slightly crazed toddlers with big sticks. Danger Bay.

Running Toddler

Wild & Free

Sibling Love & Rivalry

Shoe Thief

Big Bow

On a Mission

All was fine of course, until it was time to come in for bed…

Toddler tantrum

Worst Mommy Ever (Me)

Which of course led to a series of epic tantrums, brief joy in a bubble bath and a later bedtime. Met with an extra early morning wake-up, becasue no, no…she wasn’t tired at all.

Sleeping Baby

Morning Grocery Run: Rarest of Occurrences

Okay. So that was cute with the arm wrap slash cuddle thing and all, but it lasted about 1 minute before this…

Crying Toddler

Wakey-Wakey, Rise & Shine!

Of course, that 15 minute nap she had in the grocery cart meant that no way, no how would she go down for her regular nap-time at home. It took an epic amount of cajoling to get her to recognize the supreme awesomeness of this doll-house…

Grouchy Toddler

Nap-less & Joy-less = Stink-Eye

Another day, another chance to do things right. Or, at least blow bubbles with a visiting Uncle. Which doesn’t go so well if you eat them. So Frustrating! (But don’t even try to show her any different.)

Toddler Blowing Bubbles

I Can Has Blow (Eat) Bubbles Too!

Which doesn’t matter, because in about 2 seconds her brother will barrel in and swipe that bubble wand away anyways. Suffice to say she wasn’t a fan of that.

Toddler Havoc

Wreaking Havoc Everywheres

Thank goodness for sidewalk chalk. The best for drawing race-car tracks and parking garages. And rainbows.

Sidewalk Chalk Toddler Art

Sidewalk Chalk = Fantastic Tracks & Parking Garage!

And professions of love. (WTF!)

Boy Crush

Wyndham Loves Josie?

Indeed.

Puppy Love

He Does.

Messy Toddler Eating

Toddler Cackle

That, in a nutshell is an average weekend of cute, real madness and tiny (Big! Love!) milestones. I can’t wait to read / see your stories!
